Another addition to the collection!
« on: 05:24:19 PM / 19-Nov-15 »
Hey guys, not new, just a new addition car wise:) I got this super nice SE from a member of one of the s12 pages on facebook! Anyways! Its an 1988 200sx SE with a five speed transmission, power locks and windows and no sun/moon roof. 143xxx miles and I am the third owner! Its been pretty well taken care of and very much enjoyed. She drove it from here, WA, to Kentucky and spent 11 years there! While there, she went to TN and took a cruise on the Dragon Tail with this 12! It has a lot of history and a lot of great memories. Now I will get to make memories of my own with it! I have had it for almost a month and so far have just been driving it and saving money to do timing belt, water pump, valve cover gaskets and a few other little things.

Dirty I know, but it will be all spick and span once I get all the maintenance parts together!

Got these from a local guy for $30! 15x8 -30 offset. Going to clean them up and see how they fit!

Believe it or not, it is same as the mk2, only difference is the torque for days when you unlock the potential.

How do you unlock said potential?

I am happy with mine! Actually getting 26-27 mpg on the daily drive, never would have imagined that. And that includes 75-80 out on Interstate. With the built exhaust, it sounds wonderful as well. I hope in the future to upgrade the heads and use headers to get more out of it.

simple mods: pwr-2 ignitor, z31 86 ecu, maf, and o2 sensor.  Search various vg30 or sev6 builds.

I have been searching for an 86 z31 ecu and maf for about 2 weeks, not much around my area. Have found a few online but they are a bit over priced. I have read quite a few build threads and never come across anything about pwr-2 ignitor. If you dont mind, could you elaborate on that please? Did you get that oil leak fixed up yet, or is it still sprayin?

This is my first vg30 so I have been doing a lot of searching on here and other s12/z31 forums.

Oil leak is fixed, evergreen gasket kit is cheap for a reason on rockauto. I am now running full felpro gaskets except for the victor reinz head gasket.

Junkyard here I come. That is an amazing and cheap upgrade. Thank you, I appreciate you opening my eyes to that!
Glad you got the leak fixed! Felpro is almost always the way to go. I don't like ordering gasket kits online, especially if its some off brand that I have never heard of.
