So I am ditching the whole carb idea and reinstalling the EFI.

There is a complete M30 in the yard, I was thinking about grabbing the wiring harness, ecu, and misc parts.

So knowing that the wiring seems to be a tad different,
is there any issues I might need to address? like grabbing o2 sensor to match? will running the 86 z31 maf make any difference?

This is rocking with pretty much everything deleted except AAC and Throttle Body(KA, TB)
I assume it might run a bit better knowing that I don't have a frail harness.

Sorry for asking, but what happened with the carb?

I decided to go another route because I have had more issues with this setup than I wanted.

I understand how easy the carb can be, but... it's not where I want to be with this project to be honest.
every 2-6 months I have to pull it all apart and put it back together and I am really tired of doing this especially when I want to be getting sideways at the track.

problem seems to be always leading to the power consumption with the dizzy and how the carb is setup. Since the carb conversion I've had 1 maybe 2 days of seat time.
So in essence to really think about it, carb is simple but it's not simple as it's not something everyone does and it wasn't something that came out of the factory on. So it puts a strain on troubleshooting especially if broken on the side of the road.

Do you want to talk about the carb ignition, or are you at a point where no way do you want to keep that deal?

It all sounds more troublesome than it should be. They arent cutting edge, but it should run with basically no maintenance for a long, long time. Somethings wrong in the parts, tune, and setup. You should be able to leave that car out there for a year, fire it up, and run it every day for a year, then repeat without touching that carb and dizzy for a few years.

in essence,  I am just done.
It is more of a cool factor than what I want to do.

After some research the conversion will serve me well with the m30's ecu / wiring harness.
So I will post up pics when I revert back to EFI.
