Loving my new 1986 200SX
« on: 03:02:25 PM / 27-Dec-21 »
Hey everybody, my name is Ben but everybody calls me VQ. I started looking for a new project car around 3 months ago and ended up buying a 1986 200SX XE hatchback from some guy in upstate NY. Amazingly my car is almost devoid of rust despite living its entire life in the salt belt, and I intend to keep it that way so long as I own it. I have some plans for what I want to do with it, nothing crazy, just some things to bring it into the 21st century driving and handling wise.

Here are some of the photos I have of it:

Overall really fun little car, I have it parked for the winter season but I am very excited to drive it some more once the ice thaws.

I was afraid all the five gallon buckets of pain stacked four high were going to fall over

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody, I'm glad to be here. Still reading through all of the forum posts, but as you have all said there's tons of good info on this site. I'm going to keep posting photos to my car page as I make progress with this resto mod, stay tuned!
