last i checked pick and pay less on tattersall road blacktown had two s12s, try there first i think.

or just buy a new ball joint of course, they are easy to get hold of and cheap, need a press to change them though so either get one or get a workshop to do it, should be a 1/2 hour job.

someone said that you can\'t press in the ball joints for the S12 you have to buy a whole new control arm.

I have changed them before, not easy to get out cos they are pressed in but they are changable nonetheless

I just did both of mine and I highly recomend you replace the arms and not just the ball joints. There is a few of reasons for this.

This first being that because of the cunstruction of the control arms they don\'t tend to do well when pressing the joints in and out.

The second being the holes that the sway bar end links go through. I\'d lay odds that yours are ovaled out like mine were. This may not seem to major, but it will effect the handling of the car by making the sway bar that much less effective.

Third being that you get new bushings on the frame side when you replace the whole arm and since you have it out you might as well just replace it and be done with it. Makes life a lot easier too.

agreed, shop smop, get a hammer

usually come out ok by just hitting the side of the hub ende but had to remove 1 with the nut back on wacking the top

best not to hit the nut on the ball is u can avoid it cuase it may well damage the thread / ball joint

I have to agree with Randy on replacing the whole control arm. A year or so ago I replaced both of my front lower control arms due to the worn out ball joints. I had tried to replace the ball joints alone and was unsuccesful at getting them back in and I also realised why the FSM states to replace the entire arm. They aren\'t too bad if you get them through [url]http://www.nissanparts.cc[/a] also known as nismoparts.com. I believe they were about $150 each or somewhere in there.
