Good time sschung...Are you still using the stock clutch? Is the car still having those running issues? Did you sping the tires lots or just a bit?

VHT trackbite + new sticky tires (an LSD would help too)

That\'ll solve your 60 foot time, but will require probably a 4,000 rpm launch to not bog.

But I wouldn\'t dump the clutch on anything that didn\'t have a whole lot of drag slicks behind it. Feather the clutch to get traction.

As for getting your r/t down, launch when the last light is still lit up. This is the biggest hurdle to get over as a drag racer. It will seem like way too early,

If you\'re still too slow r/t wise, try and launch when the second last light is still lit.

Basically try a couple non-variable ways. You\'ll either red light or be slow or be close. Then you can build yourself your own \"I launch when\" for consitency.

For your first time out, running a 15.3 in a car that still has bugs ... damn.

First time I hit the track I ran a 16.6. Heh, eventually without changing anything other than technique I shaved about 4 seconds off that ;)

^^^
you run a 12.6 on the 200 or the charger?
Well i got a \'87 200sx

Mr.200

heh ... neither.

My first car, a 63 Pontiac Acadian with a 383 stroker went into the high 11s.

Then they kicked me off the track ... bastards.

Slow reaction time, that made me mad, so I over gassed, spun ... man, embarassing.

Charger\'s only barely into the 13s on streets. The 200 ... I shudder to think ... in its present state, maybe high 18s?
