Just wondering what some people have done for there throttle cable i think this would be an issue even with a CA18DET? Mine is way to short i grabbed one out of a Stanza it was way to long, KA24E's are to small aswell and suggestions?
Thanks
ya i was wondering that too, what throttle cable could you use to reach the sr's throttle body. how much longer was the stanza's cable, im sure you might be able to zip tie the slack on the fire wall or somthing, or was it way to long?

hi,

the people who have a SR20DET swap, did you mount the rigid pipe SR20DET direction?? there is a pipe with a pressure sensor.

those who did not mount the SR20DET rigid pipe, they have steering problems?

thank you

was readin this post and your information confused me a bit, i cudnt tell wen u said mounts if you were refering to the engine brakets or the mounts(rubber stuff) themselves

i know for sure the kA/SR/CA mounts(rubber stuff) are the same

the brakets on the other hand are different as the ca18et brackets uses 2 bolts to bolt to the engine while the sr has 4 mounting point

now...i tried to bolt my ca18et brackets to the the sr20 doesnt look like it would work

on the exhaust side the ca braket can be bolted using one hole but i dunno if thaz safe considering the power this engine would be making

would take sum pics to show wut im saying

would love to reuse my ca mounts any clarification would be appreciated.

thanks

The brackets are engine specific, but for the isolators (rubber) any S13/S14 can be used, but only the CA18/CA20 S12's brackets and isolators can be reused on the CA18DET.

Looks like they might...  Would have never thought. Looks like they would mount the engine lower too, hopefully not too low.

me, for mount the engine, I install the SR20 on Nismo engine mount.

person can get information for my power steering oil pressure switch?

the S14a the SR20 with the engine boasts a power steering oil pressure switch,

now I install the SR20 without the power steering oil pressure switch,

I might have problems?

thank you

Nope, no problems. My SR had that too, but I never connected it.

ok, thank you, it reassures me, I imagine that the switch must cut off the power steering in high speeds.

No, all it does is raise the engine idle when you try to turn the wheel at a complete stop. I never really found the need for it, the normal idle seems to be high enough for the pump.

So you can have a custom one piece drive shaft Made but you need an s13 and s12 drive shaft Correct?
Now could I use either a automatic or manual s13 driveshaft or does it have to be manual
