vg30 blown what now?

SR20 is possible..run you quite a bit of coin though..
You can always get another VG30E..they are quite plentiful.

Yeah?  How the heck did you blow up a VG?  I railed on mine for years at road courses and autocrosses and the thing never skipped a beat.  That motor is practically bulletproof.  Anyway, yes, the SR is possible, as is the CA18DET and any other motor you have the money to put in there.  Personally, I\'d like to see the 4.5L V8 from an Infiniti Q45 shoved between the fenders.

really.. just about the only nissan motors that i can think of right now that wouldnt fit is like the RB series engines (just because of their length).. but it all just boils down to how much money you want to spend and how much power you are looking to get out of it?

I would suggest going  CA18DET my SR is turning out to be ALOT of work but i know i will love it in the end. Depends on how much work you want to put into the swap. CUSTOM MOTOR MOUNTS SUCK.

well the car is actually my friend\'s and when went to an abandoned parking lot one night and were doing donuts and all of a sudden his car starts making this loud noise..I checked and he had no oil in the engine.....bearings rattling like crazy! so he bought a new car and we decided to make the 200sx a track car... what exactly is needed to do the swap to sr20? does it really need custom mounts?

Yes it realy does need  custom mounts theres a couple ways to do it but they all require some basic farbrication. I have been working on my mounts for 10 hours another 3 to put final touches on tonight and i should be done.


Then you need a custome drive shaft and cross members.

If you have the tools its not a big deal. It is a fairly in depth swap though.
