Should be able to just replace it and go...especially if it\'s an exact replacement.  I replaced all 4 of mine a few years ago with just oe replacements, and it cranked and ran fine afterwards......I don\'t know how you would re-configure the ECU anyways??

you are just going to have to replace it. Takes about 2 hours if you know what yours doing. ill even give you a step by step here.

 1) Go into trunk and disconnect fuel pump pressure plug. Its in the trunk on the right side in the little compartment for the hatch\'s and under the cardboard compartment flap for the notchbacks. Its a little purple plug. Actually there are 2 plugs, just disconnect them both.

 2) start car until car just dies from no fuel.

 3) disconnect fuel line and return line from the rail.

 4) unscrew the 2-4 screws holding the rail to the intake manifold.

 5) remove leaky injector by loosening the clamp and sliding it off. (Might be pretty tough and a good chance you will break the rubber hose holding the injector to the rail. If you do, go get fuel line hose from the autoparts store)

 6) Make sure all o-rings are in the intake manifold holes or the o-ring is on the injector itself.

 7) Re-install injectors / rail / screws / clamps / hoses.

 9) Yes I skipped 8.   Go into trunk and plug connectors back in.

 *IMPORTANT*

Allow fuel pump to run for ~10-20 sec to re-pressurize the lines. Do this before trying to start the car.

I think I covered anything and everything, but if you got any more Q\'s   you know where to find me.  Always on AIM.

You can also take out the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box instead. Crank it and let it run til it dies.....Same thing as disconnecting the connectors in the hatch, or trunk.

1) 2 hoses connecting the to--]   and return [--  lines from the rail

 2) 2-4 screws holding the fuel rail to the intake manifold

 3) Not much else

The point is not to try to remove the rail as it can be very tricky. You are trying to loosen it to allow for the injector to be slid off and replaced.  Hope this helps.  Ill host a pic. Here.:

Sometimes you can get away without having to do step 1 in this post. But i just do it anyways.

Your just trying to make the rail touch the intake manifold so you can remove the injector. All I can say is you will know what im talking about when you try to do it for yourself.
